Gwanghwamun Plaza

Gwanghwamun Plaza is a public open space on Sejongno, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. The plaza was opened on 1 August 2009 by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and is part of the City's plans for environmentally friendly renovation projects such as the Cheonggye Stream and Seoul Plaza. Gwanghwamun Gate is the southern gate of Gyeongbokgung Palace. It is also the main gate of the palace, therefore larger and fancier in comparison to the other gates.

Cheonggyecheon Stream Canal Walk

Cheonggyecheon is an artificial canal that runs through Seoul from north to south. It is a place where citizens and tourists can rest in Seoul. It forms a popular tourism area together with attractions nearby such as Gwanghwamun, City Hall, Jongno and Dongdaemun.

Gyeongbok Palace

Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because its location is furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeonghuigung (Western Palace) Palace. Gyeongbokgung Palace is arguably the most beautiful, and remains the largest of all five palaces.

National Folk Museum

National Folk Museum of Korea is a national museum of South Korea, located within the grounds of the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Bukchon Hanok Village

Bukchon Hanok Village is a Korean traditional village in Seoul with a long history located on the top of a hill between Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeok Palace and Jongmyo Royal Shrine. The traditional village is composed of many alleys, hanok and is preserved to show a 600-year-old urban environment. It has a lot of cultural centers and museums that showcase the culture of the Joseon Dynasty. It's a unique display of the dynasty architecture and way of life. One of the main attractions in Seoul it also offers juxtaposition between modern and traditional aspects of the city.

Gwangjang Market

Gwangjang Market, previously Dongdaemun Market, is a traditional street market in Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. The market is one of the oldest and largest traditional markets in South Korea, with more than 5000 shops. This market in Seoul is an absolute must-visit when travelling to the city. It’s a favourite haunt for all the Korean food one can imagine all in one place. This traditional food market is just a few bus stops from Jin’s family home and is usually one of our first spots to hit when in Seoul.It is the best place to be in. Experience a traditional market that shows a side of the city that can’t be found or replicated at some of other more modern, newer, and larger shopping centers and fashion malls found elsewhere in the city.

Demilitarized Zone

Demilitarized zone (DMZ), region on the Korean peninsula that demarcates North Korea from South Korea. It roughly follows latitude 38° N (the 38th parallel), the original demarcation line between North Korea and South Korea at the end of World War II. The areas north and south of the DMZ are heavily fortified, and both sides maintain large contingents of troops there.

Imjingak Park

Imjingak Park is located on the banks of the Imjin River along the tracks of the former Gyeongui Train Line outside the city of Paju, South Korea. The park has many statues and monuments regarding the Korean War.

Dora Observatory

Dora Observatory is on the South Korean side of the 38th parallel. Situated on top of Dorasan in Paju, the observatory provides scenic views across the Demilitarized Zone. Visitors can see the North Korean territory through binoculars from the 304 square feet, 500-person capacity observatory. From the observatory, visitors can overlook North Korea, including Gaeseong, Songaksan, Kim Il-Sung Statue, and Cooperation Farm (Geumamgol).

The 3rd infiltration Tunnel

The 3rd Tunnel was discovered by South Korea in 1978. It spans over 1,635m in length, 2m in width, and 2m in height and is located 52km from Seoul. It is estimated that approximately 30,000 soldiers could move through the tunnel per hour. It was apparently designed for a surprise attack on Seoul from North Korea.

Hyeri Art Village

Heyri Art Valley is an artistic community in the unification hill district of Tanhyeon-myeon, Paju, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. It was constructed by artists, writers, painters and other creatives. Heyri Art Valley is Korea's largest artistic community. Intriguing places, pretty cafes and art too is what you’ll find if you head north into Paju to the delightful artsy spot known as Heyri Art Village. Home to photographers, painters, artists of all kinds, musicians, architects and writers means it is quirky, artsy and very fun as well as home to galleries, museums and more.

Lotte World Theme Park

Lotte World is a major recreation complex in Seoul, South Korea. It consists of a large indoor theme park, an outdoor amusement park called "Magic Island", an artificial island linked by monorail, shopping malls, a luxury hotel, an observation tower, a Korean folk museum, sports facilities, and movie theaters. It is the world's largest indoor amusement park, complete with top-of-the-line rides, fantastic parades and performances, and food from around the world.

Nami Island

Namiseom or Nami Island is a half-moon shaped river island located in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, South Korea, formed as the land around it was inundated by the rising water of the North Han River as the result of the construction of Cheongpyeong Dam in 1944. It is a beautiful island that is among the most popular attractions in Korea. It features beautiful tree lanes, woodlands, riverside walks, and many more. It offers picture-perfect scenery all year round.

Kwongeumsung Fortress

Gwongeumseong Fortress is the site of a castle ruins located on Seoraksan Mountain, and it is also known as Onggeumsan Mountain Castle, or Toto Castle. It is located on the steep Dolsan Mountain of Seoraksan Sogongwon area.

Shinhuengsa Temple

Sinheungsa is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It is situated on the slopes of Seoraksan in Sokcho, Gangwon Province, South Korea. It is a place of worship and a famous sight to see on Korea's eastern coast. The temple stores numerous works of Buddhist art—paintings, sculptures, and tapestries. Sinheungsa Temple is home to many cultural heritages including the Geungnakbojeon Hall at Sinheungsa Temple and the Three-story Stone Pagoda at Hyangseongsa Temple Site. The temple also offers the temple stay program in which participants can experience a temple life by doing activities such as communal Buddhist meal service, ceremonial service involving chanting,as well as programs of making a lotus lantern and Buddhist rosary.

Grand Bronze Buddha

t is the head temple of the Jogye order of Korean Buddhism, situated on the slopes of Seoraksan. On the path to the temple, you can see a giant bronze Statue of Buddha, Jwabul which is over 14.6m high. There is a door that you can go down steps to a temple underground, housing a statue of Bodhisattva Guan Yin.

Samyang Ranch

Asia's largest green pasture, this vast meadow is where milking cows feed on the fresh, clean grass. The view from the 1,470m high plateau is remarkable as well. The ranch has been used as a filming site for many dramas and movies. It is Asia's largest green pasture.

Namsan Hanok Village

Namsangol Hanok Village, also known as "A Village of Traditional Houses in the Namsan Valley", is a Korean village located in the area of Pil-dong neighborhood in Jung-gu, a central district of Seoul, South Korea where hanok or Korean traditional houses have been restored to preserve the original atmosphere of the area.

N-Seoul Tower

The N Seoul Tower, officially the YTN Seoul Tower and commonly known as Namsan Tower or Seoul Tower, is a communication and observation tower located on Nam Mountain in central Seoul, South Korea. The 236-meter-tall tower marks the second highest point in Seoul. It was established at the highest point to glance at the most beautiful images of Seoul. It is also Korea's first general radio wave tower from 1969, delivering TV and radio broadcasting in the metropolitan area. The tower's observatory offers an unobstructed view of the whole city, allowing it to become one of the all-time favorite attractions of Seoul citizens as well as domestic and international tourists.

Everland Resort is a theme park and vacation resort located in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. It is owned and operated by Samsung Everland. Korean Folk Village

Korean Folk Village is a living museum type of tourist attraction in the city of Yongin, a satellite city in the Seoul Metropolitan Area in the province of Gyeonggi in South Korea. It is located on a large 245 acres of land with backdrop of mountains and a river running through it. The village was created by relocating and restoring 270 real houses from different parts of the country, successfully enacting the daily life culture of a typical village during Joseon dynasty. It has been a popular film site for many well-known historical dramas.
